I donut want this to be just another fad. July 24, 2018 10:08

So I'm sitting here in our tiny office in Yattendon with a dog at my feet. It's 34 degrees outside and we have no air conditioning. Charlie, our Consumer Champion, has told me that we need to start blogging. It will help us build content, show the more human side of our brand and be a lot more interesting than just thrusting pictures of porky snacks into people's social feeds.

I'll be honest, I've tried blogging before but after my third post I bored myself so how on earth am I going to to be interesting to other people. So this time it's going to be different. We're not going to talk about w8nky business jargon we're going to just be honest. Tell you how it is. I say "you", for all I know the only person reading this will be Charlie and my mum. Hopefully not together. That would be weird.

So it's a big moment, our first blog. What on earth do I write about? Charlie says talk about something I'm passionate about. Woah, that's a hard thing for me to do. Mainly because I am WELL into fads. I'm the guy who joins the gym, tells everyone about it, goes 5 days in a row then never goes again. I wanted to start a new business last year making wicked donuts. I bought a donut machine, learnt how to make them over a weekend, bought them into the office once, then shoved the machine in the garage and haven't thought about it since. So maybe this first post should be about fads. So what's my fad this week? Well it's about blogs. Or maybe this isn't a fad. Maybe, just maybe I'll stick to this one and see it through to the end.
