Are Pork Scratchings bad for you? April 29, 2021 17:40
We are huge believers in a balanced diet. Good, bad and the ugly. We believe that life is for living and part of that is indulging and treating yourself to something naughty every so often. Pork scratchings, pork crackling and Porky Puffs fit into that moment like a moth to a flame.
However, pork scratchings are not exactly unhealthy though; Pork scratchings are high in fat, not the bad fat, but the good fat. Mono and polyunsaturated fats which are rather good for heart health. On top of that, pork scratchings are also rammed full of Oleic Acid which lowers cholesterol and reduces inflammation.
So pork scratchings do actually play a part of a balanced diet. Just make sure you don't balance them with booze and bad choices.
